RISING STAR OF THE R&B & POP WORLD AVA LILY HAS RELEASED HER SECOND EP 'SUNDAY MUSIC CLUB'

Ava Lily, the rising star of the R&B/pop world, has just released her second EP, titled Sunday Music Club.

The EP, which was released globally on April 5th, 2023, explores themes of self-destruction, sobriety, all-consuming relationships, and prioritizing self-love. Lily's ability to write delicate melodies and perform vocal runs with a flawless falsetto is a stellar feat that shines through on this EP.

Reflecting on certain aspects of her life during lockdown, Lily said that this EP was her most confident and vulnerable to date. She became sober and focused on her own healing, reflecting on some unhealthy relationships and self-destructive habits. Lily's songwriting prowess continues to shine on this EP, with poignant lyricism, haunting melodic sequences, and thematic storytelling.

The EP includes the stunning live version of Lily's previously released track 'Nobody Breaks My Heart Like I Do,' which was recorded in the grand backdrop of St John’s Church, Hoxton and produced by Max Bandicoot (GOOT Studio). Lily's other tracks, 'Tight Fit' and 'Sad Party' boast ethereal vocals and bass undertones that develop Lily's artistry and sound. Her latest release, February’s 'Happy Switch,' adds a sonic playfulness to the EP. On the EP’s release, Ava Lily said:

“This project was created throughout periods of lockdown where I was reflecting on certain aspects of my life and focussing massively on my own healing. I’d recently become sober and was prioritising self-love having reflected on some unhealthy relationships and self-destructing habits. I’ve been the most vulnerable I’ve ever been on this EP, which has been really cathartic for me. It’s personal, but I hope you can take from it whatever you’re needing in your own road to self-discovery.”

Originally from Bristol and based in London, Lily has been writing music and playing the piano since childhood, using songwriting as a means of expression and therapy. After being discovered by Naughty Boy from her cover of 'I Can't Make You Love Me,' Lily was signed to Virgin EMI where she collaborated with artists including Emeli Sande, Professor Green, Laura Mvula, and James Arthur. Since becoming independent, Ava Lily has received praise and support from various media outlets, cementing her as one to watch in 2023 and beyond.

Sunday Music Club is a must-listen EP for anyone looking for a heartfelt and vulnerable musical journey.
