Warming up the cold months with his big vocals and soulful lyrics, R&B riser BOY SODA returns with his latest single ‘Lil’ Obsession’

Australian-based artist and creative BOY SODA explores new avenues in his latest single ‘Lil’ Obsession’, as he leans into rich, live instrumentation and an expansive new wave soul sound reminiscent of some of the genre’s icons like Anderson. Paak, Smino and Bruno Mars.

Wrapping listeners up in the sonic equivalent of a heated blanket in this latest release, BOY SODA relays sentiments on vulnerability and the dreaded breakdown of a relationship, continuing to sharpen his artist signature which sees him incorporate honest and human songwriting and creative expression.

On ‘Lil’ Obsession’ BOY SODA says:

“‘Lil Obsession’ is about letting go, and surrendering to the reality of a relationship that’s been ruptured or served its purpose."

"Making it brought self-validation and release, and helped me actualise feelings I was struggling to articulate, as music often does.. .It’s not a ‘f*ck you’ song by any means - more of a personal recount based on true events.”
