Chaos in the CBD Release Latest Single “Love Language” Feat Nathan Haines ahead of debut album A Deeper Life due for release in May.

Kiwi DJ and producing duo, Chaos in the CBD’s latest single Love Language featuring fellow New Zealander and producer, vocalist and saxophonist Nathan Haines, was released this week on their label In Dust We Trust, and is the first single to be released from their upcoming debut album, A Deeper Life.

The brothers, otherwise known as Louis and Ben Helliker-Hales combine deep house with jazz in their productions, which span back over a decade. Love Language is the perfect example of that signature sound they have crafted over the years. Elements include light-tingling high-hats, and ultra-smooth saxophone layered over house dubs to create the perfect easy listening, soulful relaxation.

“‘Love Language’ is a track that suits almost any setting, evoking the laid-back, easygoing rhythm of life in New Zealand. Perfect for a road trip to the beach or those magical moments at an after party when the sun reappears. Love Language feels like a reflection of the journey that brought it to life and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.”

The upcoming album Deeper Love will be 14 tracks long, showcasing the combination of deep house, R&B and Jazz and will feature artists such as grime MC Novelist, Josh Milan, Lee Pearson Junior and Stephanie Cook. The album is also set to pay homage to their homeland of New Zealand, with nostalgia for their nature-filled youth exploring the magical coastlines and lush rainforests, whilst influenced by major artists in 90’s dance music such as David Morales’, Kerri Chandler and Larry Heard. In celebration of the album’s release, Chaos in the CBD will also be playing two headline shows during the week of release in both Manchester and London and you can sign up for presale here.

Despite also being known for an outstanding collection of memes on their Instagram accounts, the album will show a deeper side to them too.

“We joke around but we want this album to be taken seriously,” says Louis. “It’s music from all around the globe, and there’s a deep meaning to how it flows and sticks together”.
