DEIJUVHS ANNOUNCES NEW MIXTAPE 'CEMETERY SCUM' AND DROPS EXPLOSIVE SINGLE ‘COMATOSE’

East London’s Deijuvhs has kicked off 2025 with the announcement of his new mixtape Cemetery Scum, set for release on 2nd May.
Deijuvhs

Described by Deijuvhs as "night time as a hoodpunk," the 10-track project marks his most cohesive and intense body of work yet, following 2022’s Perpetual States of Boredom. Leading the charge is the new single ‘Comatose’, a blistering collision of searing guitars, electrifying percussion, and raw, volatile vocals. Shifting from brooding restraint to visceral, gut-punch screams, the track captures the chaotic tension between self-destruction and desire. Reflecting on the inspiration, Deijuvhs explains:

“‘Comatose’ is a song about my love-hate relationship with alcohol. I tried to romanticise the toxicity.”

‘Comatose’ joins the previous single ‘LOTUS’, a vampiric nu-metal anthem laced with trap swagger and drum and bass rhythms, as well as ‘Black Metal’, a twisted imagining of Afroswing fused with emo.

Deijuvhs is more than an artist - he’s a movement. An MC, singer, bandleader, and ringleader, he’s leading a new underground wave of punks, rappers, and ravers pushing back against the status quo. His live shows are an unpredictable mess of wires, white noise, sweat, and spit, from DIY festival pits to Reading & Leeds Festival’s Festival Republic stage.

Beyond his music, Deijuvhs has built a platform for the underground. He spearheads Lamesfest and Hoodstock, the latter a youth-focused festival and fundraising initiative spotlighting emerging talent.

‘Cemetery Scum’ drops on 2nd May 2025 via 23 Recordings/Atlantic.
