Download Festival returns to Donington Park from June 13th to 15th, 2025, with a stellar first wave of acts, topped by first-time headliners Green Day, Sleep Token, and Korn.
These iconic bands will take centre stage for the first time in Download history, making it an unmissable event for rock and metal fans. Punk legends Green Day, known for their stadium-worthy energy and anthemic hits, join enigmatic metal outfit Sleep Token and the pioneers of nu-metal, Korn, for a weekend that promises unforgettable performances.
The 2025 lineup offers a wide range of acts, bringing together legends and new favourites across rock, metal, and punk. In addition to the headliners, the festival will host geek rock stars Weezer, Jimmy Eat World, Loathe, Spiritbox, Eagles Of Death Metal, and a special crossover set from Frank Carter and the Sex Pistols. Fans can also look forward to sets from The Darkness, Poppy, Meshuggah, Steel Panther, and UK favourites like Loathe and Spiritbox, adding depth to the diverse roster. McFly, Boston Manor, Lorna Shore, and up-and-comers Dead Pony and Graphic Nature round out a lineup that’s bound to draw fans from across the music spectrum.
The lineup reveal took place at a Metal Gala in London, hosted by British actor Paddy Considine, who will also perform at the festival with his band Riding The Low. This special event, which brought together key figures from the alternative music world, set the stage for an epic year at Download. Download Festival’s Andy Copping shared his excitement about this year’s festival, saying,
“Following on from last year’s sold-out 21st edition, Download’s legacy not only includes the incredible artists who have performed at the hallowed grounds over the years, but also our unrivalled community, safe and warm atmosphere, and fantastic after-hours entertainment at District X, with something for truly everyone.”
Tickets go on sale at 9 p.m. on November 14th, with demand expected to be high following last year’s sell-out event. With its blend of classic rock, metal, and punk, Download Festival 2025 is set to be a standout event that honours the festival’s roots while also welcoming fresh talent and fan favourites to the hallowed Donington Park grounds.
