Fresh off a blockbuster 2024, BRIT Rising Star nominees Good Neighbours return with ‘Ripple,’ their first release of the year and a bold statement of their continued rise.
Premiered as Radio 1’s Hottest Record, the track dives into themes of grief, friendship, and resilience, inspired by a close friend’s emotional struggles. With emotive lyrics and soaring indie-pop production, the single continues their streak of heartfelt anthems.
"Ripple is about pulling your loved ones out of that deep place,"
The release comes with the duo’s first official music video, directed by Alex Lockett. The video juxtaposes the innocence of childhood with the emotional weight of adulthood, following two young boys during a milestone swimming lesson - a nostalgic nod to Scott and Oli’s friendship.
“It’s a celebration of resilience and the importance of connection. The challenges life throws at us can be overcome with support from those around us.”
Good Neighbours broke records last year with their debut single ‘Home,’ amassing over 500 million streams to become the most streamed debut single globally in 2024. 2024 also saw the release of their debut EP, a US headline tour, and festival slots at Reading, Leeds, All Points East, and more. Other milestones included a Jimmy Kimmel Live! debut, a Billboard Music Award nomination, and widespread acclaim as VEVO DSCVR Artists to Watch.
Good Neighbours have cemented themselves as an indie-pop powerhouse with infectious, euphoric tracks influenced by acts like MGMT and Bleachers. Known for their inclusive live shows and emotionally rich anthems, Scott and Oli continue to connect with fans on every level, proving optimism and connection are at the core of their music.
