Following features on tracks with keepvibesnear, Kojey Radical and me-mai this year, London rapper Jords returns with his first release of 2025 switching lanes between his signature flow, alt-R&B melodies and latin flavours.

Returning with the flow and energy we’ve come to love and expect from Jords, the Croydon-hailing rapper and producer supplies us with his latest track ‘The Real Survival’. In this latest instalment, he continues to showcase his prowess in shapeshifting sonics, enlisting the talents of Tottenham rapper Rv alongside vocals from OXi and Sachellys. ‘The Real Survival’ weaves together hard-hitting rap verses, spacey alt-R&B melodies, and even a touch of Spanish-sung lyricism from Sachellys.

This latest offering hears Jords’ reflections on his need for authenticity, loyalty and resilience when times get tough, painting a picture of what it means to stay real when the pressure is on, while Rv blends into the mix with his own accounts of the struggle for success, complementing Jords’ message with his raw and unfiltered bars. “When it’s war you always back your guy. The real survive.” Jords raps.

With a visual for ‘The Real Survive’ also out now, featuring a cameo from Headie One, Jords is already making noise in 2025, as he gears up for the release of his forthcoming mixtape ‘Mixtape J’ due later this year...
