KEN KAIO BOUNCES THROUGH THE WINTER BLUES WITH A CONFIDENT NEW TRACK '3D6'

I did not have a new Ken Kaio tune on my bingo card for 2025. The Hertfordshire born musician has dropped his latest track, titled ‘3D6’, referencing the use of d6 dice in the popular tabletop game Dungeons & Dragons.

Also known on YouTube for his  streetwear based channel SICCKM8, he has been gleefully dropping tracks with his own unique spin on the uk rap scene. Starting in 2017 with the track ‘Cthulhu’, he got his first viral hit with his sophomore track ‘Pokemon Ruby’ in 2018, which to this day is one of the most creative and inventive tracks in the uk rap scene.  

Not one to rush his clear knack for flow and songwriting, he slowly released two more tracks in the last few years, ‘3D6’ is the next evolution. Off the bat you can tell there is an undeniable talent in his blend of his hobbies and interesting rhymes into his bars.  Referencing Halo 3, D6 dice, Great British Bake Off and Salomons to name a few, it's a delightfully playful offering in the UK rap scene. Ken Kaio is an artist who’s not one to compromise on his vision and how he presents his art. This is all more prominent when you realise this is his fifth ever release, not rushing to get another hit out of the door after the success of 'Pokemon Ruby'. 

On the production side, lesser known producer Rylo Sven has crafted this weightlessly  dreamy beat, that’s sparse in all the right places but still heavy on the bass. It compliments Kaio’s confident flow about keeping that assertive drive towards ones goals.  Each track that gets released you just get the sense of how self assured he is as an artist. "I’m levelling up this time, show them a bar that they can’t ignore". He’s hungry for the artistry and it shows. 

He is clearly one to watch this year, I for one am waiting for that eventual debut project. Strife and prosper.
