KREPT DROPS 'NALA'S SONG' AHEAD OF 'YOUNG KINGZ II'

Krept, one half of the iconic UK rap duo Krept & Konan, has released "Nala’s Song" - a strong tribute to his young daughter.

This deeply personal track is the fourth teaser from their highly anticipated album, Young Kingz II, which drops on 7 February 2025.

Acting as a lyrical letter to his daughter, filled with reflections and advice for life, with lines rooted in fatherhood and growth, Krept uses his signature introspection to touch on breaking generational cycles, overcoming hardship, and valuing relationships. He explains,

“I want Nala to always have these lessons, even if I’m not around.”

The music video brings this sentiment to life, featuring family and friends like DJ Target, JME, and Tay Kabs, alongside their daughters. Its visuals reinforce the song’s universal themes, emphasising the bonds between fathers and daughters.

This release sets the tone for Young Kingz II, which revisits themes from their groundbreaking 2013 mixtape while diving deeper into their personal experiences. Recorded primarily in Jamaica, the album captures their journey since their debut. It merges Afrobeats, Dancehall, Grime, and Hip-Hop, reflecting their cultural roots and growth as artists. Collaborations with Oxlade, Sizzla, Popcaan, Chip, Potter Payper, and more bringing global and local flavours to the project.

Krept & Konan are no strangers to making history. From becoming the highest-charting unsigned act with Young Kingz to being the first British rap act to headline the O2 Arena, they’ve consistently redefined the UK rap scene. Young Kingz II promises to continue this legacy, tackling issues like PTSD, systemic injustice, fatherhood, and grief with authenticity.

Fans can experience the duo live at their sold-out show at Outernet London on 9 April 2025. The buzz around Young Kingz II has been building, with recent teasers like “Smooth Lovin” ft. Popcaan and Krept’s “Daily Duppy: New Snap City” gained massive attention.

This is more than just a song, this is all about Nala.
