Léa Sen Unveils Debut Album Levels and New Single ‘Lvl 6 - Video Games’

Writer: Harriett DolphinHarriett Dolphin
Léa Sen is stepping into a new chapter with her debut album Levels, out 30th May via Partisan Records. Known for her unique blend of experimental pop, R&B, and trip-hop, the French-born, London-based artist has crafted a record that feels like a dreamlike hotel, each track a different room, each room holding a moment from her life.

To celebrate the announcement, she’s released the album’s emotional core, ‘Lvl 6 - Video Games’. The track is a hazy, melancholic dive into childhood nostalgia, specifically the video games she played with her brothers. Over a hypnotic beat and woozy guitars, she reflects on the way memories shift over time, how past joys and fears intertwine. “But how does it end if you can never die?” she sings, questioning the blurred lines between fantasy and reality. It’s an unconventional pop song, delicate yet unsettling, playful but haunting. Speaking on the track, Léa explains:

“‘Video Games’ is a window into how my past continues to shape me—whether I welcome it or not. It's a dance between memory and habit, between the world I saw as a child and the one I see now. Some things fade, some things linger, and some you simply learn to live with. The song explores both comfort and fear—how the past can weigh on you, but also how joy can always be found within it.”

‘Lvl 6 - Video Games’ follows last month’s ‘Lvl 1 - Home Alone’, giving fans a glimpse into the layered storytelling that shapes Levels. With its textured soundscapes and introspective lyrics, the album promises to be her most personal project yet.

Léa’s rise has been anything but ordinary. Moving from Paris to London in 2019, she took a leap of faith to pursue music full-time. The risk paid off, by 2021, her vocals were everywhere, most notably on Joy Orbison’s better. She’s since collaborated with artists like Sampha and Vegyn, all while building her own sound.

Before Levels arrives, fans can see Léa live at her headline show on 29 May at St. Pancras Old Church. Tickets go on sale Friday, 14 March at 10 AM.
