For the last few years Glizz has steadily climbed his way up the UK rap ladder. Known for his bold production choices, raw story telling and skilled lyricism he’s created a unique space for himself in the rap scene where he continues to master his authentic sound. With a collective 10 million streams between his breakthrough tracks ‘SAD’ and ‘One Pop’, Glizz is on the road to becoming one of the most essential voices in UK rap and ‘Inconsistent’ is his next step to claiming that spot.
The anticipated link up between Glizz and AntsLive does not disappoint. AntsLive is one of the most innovative talents present in the UK. His high energy, catchy delivery and paramount visuals initiate dialogue between lovers of the genre and the unacquainted. Even if you think you haven't heard of AntsLive, you have, making his mark with ‘Number One Candidate’ being one of the most talked about music videos of 2023. You know the one with the rapper riding the horse through the Italian Alps? Yeah that’s him.
Living up to expectations, ‘Inconsistent’ rides on a piano-based relaxed beat against the high energy, synergised, flow of the pair. Creating their own rhythm whilst staying true to their individualism, they alternate bars as they cover the distractions in their lives leading to inconsistency, with one picking up from the other, line by line. Their contrasting styles complement each other as they bounce between bars, pushing each other to new heights.
“This record with AntsLive is a blend of two different sounds, two different perspectives, two different worlds. We wanted to make something that represents both of us, and ‘Inconsistent’ does exactly that.”
It comes as no surprise that ‘Inconsistent’ is accompanied by a captivating music video. Crafted by Amsterdams creative visual studio Red Moons, viewers are immersed in a cinematic Grand Theft Auto-inspired universe. Following the theme of inconsistency, the scenes flick from reality to fantasy through remarkable visual effects and ingenious editing.
‘Inconsistent’ is a teaser for what Glizz has in the 2025 pipeline with his much anticipated debut project in the works. He’s one to keep an eye on.
