PALACE AND VIVIENNE WESTWOOD GET SET TO LAUNCH THEIR REBELLIOUS COLLABORATION

British streetwear and high fashion, Palace and Vivienne Westwood have teamed up to release their first unique collaborative collection, including clothing, accessories, jewellery, and skateboards, which perfectly blend the distinctive styles and rebellious spirits of both iconic brands.

The collection is brought to life through a striking lookbook shot by Shoichi Aoki, the founder of the renowned Japanese street-style magazine FRUITS.

The collaboration draws heavily from the rich legacies of both brands. Vivienne Westwood’s classic Spring/Summer 1992 “Salon” print makes a bold return on GORE-TEX jackets, track pants, and skirts. The collection also revives Westwood’s early 1990s iconography, featuring oversized teddy bear bags and other nostalgic accessories. Notably, this marks Palace's first venture into womenswear, highlighted by a reimagined Vivienne Westwood corset adorned with a print of Palace founder Lev Tanju’s dog, Stuart.

Andreas Kronthaler, Vivienne Westwood’s Creative Director, expressed his admiration for Palace, stating,

“From the first day I went to Palace years ago, I liked what they were doing. Their designs are made with quality, they are accessible and democratic. It felt natural for us to join forces.”

The sentiment was echoed by Palace Co-Founders Lev Tanju and Gareth Skewis, who spoke about the mutual respect and shared values that made this collaboration a dream come true.

A celebration of the rebellious spirit that both brands embody. It features a mix of menswear and womenswear, with standout pieces like tartan-patterned items, teddy bear bags, and beanies with Westwood’s signature ‘horns.’ The range also includes long printed socks, orb necklaces, studded leather goods, and skateboards, all adorned with a new collaborative logo that merges the Palace triferg with the Westwood orb.

The campaign will also be featured in a limited-edition zine, available for free with in-store purchases.

This collaboration not only honours the legacy of the late Vivienne Westwood but also pushes the boundaries of both brands, offering a collection that is both nostalgic and forward-thinking, with a distinct London twist.
