PEST CONTROL UNLEASH NEW EP 'YEAR OF THE PEST'

Leeds-based heavy music powerhouse Pest Control have released their explosive new EP, 'Year of the Pest,' delivering an intense blend of hardcore and thrash that has already captivated fans of the UK’s metal scene.
Pest Control

Since emerging from the disbandment of several acts during the pandemic, Pest Control has forged a bold, sonic path, combining unrestrained aggression and inventive riffs with a wild lyrical world of dystopian destruction.

Year of the Pest follows Pest Control’s acclaimed debut album, Don’t Test the Pest, which saw the band tour with giants like Turnstile and Obituary. Their latest four-track EP channels the band’s high-octane energy into a short but brutal set, offering fans a sweat-drenched escape into a post-apocalyptic universe. Each track brings a whirlwind of sharp instrumentation and lyrical confrontations, blending virtuosic thrash with the immediacy of hardcore in a sound that’s both fresh and fearlessly aggressive.

Celebrating the release of Year of the Pest, Pest Control performed at Manchester’s Outbreak Autumn event at Bowler’s Exhibition Centre on October 27th. The band will then join US hardcore heavyweights Knocked Loose on a highly anticipated European tour, starting in London’s O2 Academy Brixton on March 17th 2025 and continuing through major venues across Europe, including Paris, Brussels, and Berlin.

Pest Control European Tour Dates with Knocked Loose:

17/03 - London, O2 Academy Brixton

18/03 - Manchester, O2 Victoria Warehouse

20/03 - Tilburg, 013 Poppodium

21/03 - Paris, Le Bataclan

22/03 - Lille, L’Aéronef

24/03 - Brussels, Ancienne Belgique

25/03 - Cologne, Palladium

27/03 - Berlin, Columbiahalle

28/03 - Leipzig, Hause Auensee

29/03 - Munich, TonHalle

Released on Quality Control and Triple B Records, Year of the Pest is a relentless ride, capturing the thrilling chaos of Pest Control’s live performances. With its frenetic pace and inventive crossover of genres, this EP solidifies the band’s place as one of the most exciting new forces in heavy music today.
