West London dance music heavyweight p-rallel is back with his latest single, 'Fooling Me Twice,' featuring regular collaborator Dom Valentino.
Released on his newly launched label, Nevermind Recordings, 'Fooling Me Twice' track merges his signature sound with garage influences, delivering a shuffling groove and chopped vocal hooks built for late-night dancefloors. Built during a creative burst that took them straight from the studio to Koko Electronic mid-session, then back to finish the track in the early hours. The energy of the club clearly left its mark on the production, as the track oozes that half-dreaming, half-sweating feeling of being lost in the music at peak time.
Since his 2022 breakout EP 'Forward,' p-rallel has consistently reshaped the UK dance scene. 'Forward' stitched together garage, rap, house, and afrobeat with a fresh, unpredictable spin, while 2023’s Movement mixtape took a more club-focused direction. Featuring a stacked list of guest appearances, including BXKS, Kam-Bu, and Toddla T, the project felt like a curated DJ set packaged for any time listening.
2024 saw p-rallel’s live career hit new heights. A headline show at Koko, a first Ibiza residency at Amnesia, and appearances at Glastonbury, Creamfields, and Outlook put him in front of massive crowds. He also joined Rinse FM as a flagship DJ, marking a new chapter after seven years with NTS.
While p-rallel took a step back from solo releases last year, his collabs and remixes kept his sound moving. Projects with GEE LEE and Yung Franco dropped alongside remixes for Aluna, Jorja Smith, and Wookie. Now, with 'Fooling Me Twice,' he’s setting the pace for 2025, promising a wave of new releases through Nevermind Recordings.
As one of the driving forces behind West London’s shifting club culture, p-rallel continues to honour the Black British music legacy while keeping his sound future-focused. Expect more dancefloor heat, more collaborations, and more moments like 'Fooling Me Twice' - making you just want to move.
