RUTI REIMAGINES ICONIC TRACKS ON ‘THE PERCH COVER SESSIONS’

Ruti kicks off the year with ‘The Perch Cover Sessions’, a stunning collection of stripped-back acoustic covers that showcase their rich vocals and emotional depth.

Throughout the EP Ruti reworks four classics: Outkast’s ‘Hey Ya!’, ‘There She Goes’ by The La’s, Lord Huron’s ‘The Night We Met’, and Beyoncé’s ‘Halo’, turning upbeat hits into heartfelt ballads. Accompanied only by their guitar, Ruti transforms each track into a moment of raw vulnerability, letting their voice take centre stage. With the minimalist production drawing focus to the clarity and control in their delivery, Ruti brings a new emotional weight to the lyrics.

The release follows a busy few months for Ruti, who recently dropped a remix EP and an alternate version of their hit single ‘Lungs’. This latest project reflects their evolving artistry and willingness to explore new sounds while keeping the focus on emotional storytelling.

‘The Perch Cover Sessions’ arrives ahead of Ruti’s debut UK headline tour this April, with stops in Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester, and a sold-out London show.
