Leicester rapper Sainté has unveiled his latest single, 'Stop Crying', signalling the start of a new chapter in his career.
Building a strong and reliable fanbase release after release, Sainté is ready to embark on an exciting journey following the success of his independent EPs: Vacation, Out the Blue, and Local MVP, solidifying his reputation as an up-and-coming talent in the UK rap scene.
His latest single, 'Stop Crying', takes inspiration from the turn-of-the-century hip-hop era, reminiscent of artists like 50 Cent blending the description of humble origins with massive ambitions, reflecting Sainté's journey. 'Stop Crying' introduces a new sound and vocal style that showcases a different side of his artistry. He explains,
"It emphasizes all the right reasons to feel like that main character. Whoever you are, you know all the reasons you have to flex and it just enables you to feel that flex and let it out! As Sainté, I’m not here to be cocky, but I feel like 'Stop Crying' is one of the few moments where you hear me positively vent a little. Skipping in and out of sharing my accomplishments and goals whilst knocking away the negativity that life may bring. It’s about being 100% yourself and owning it."
Although now based in east London, Sainté's journey began in Leicester, where he was raised after moving to the UK as a young child. He initially pursued a career in professional basketball while spontaneously delving into rap. The lockdowns due to the COVID-19 pandemic redirected his path, propelling his music career to new heights. He gained recognition with the viral hit 'Champagne Shots' and even had his music featured in a show by the late Virgil Abloh.
Sainté's versatility extends beyond music, as he's starred in fashion campaigns for renowned brands like New Balance, Burberry, and Jean Paul Gaultier. He aims to break down the barriers between music, style, and sport, existing at the intersection of culture.
