A TIMELESS ODE TO REBELLION AND RHYTHM: VANS’ PREMIUM OLD SKOOL MUSIC COLLECTION

Vans is celebrating its deep-rooted musical legacy with the launch of the "Old Skool Music Collection," a series of releases that spotlight the brand’s influential role in music since its inception.

Few shoes have transcended their original purpose as effortlessly as Vans’ Old Skool™. What began in 1977 as a skateboarding essential quickly became a symbol of counterculture. Now fast forward to today in 2025, and the brand’s latest offering, the Premium Old Skool Music Collection, proves that some icons only grow richer with time. This three-part collection is a love letter to the underground music scenes that adopted the Old Skool as a part of their uniform.

The collection is divided into three separate capsules, with each taking inspiration from a different era and genre of music. The first drop, launching on the 6th of February 2025, is a nod to the ‘70s and ‘80s punk movements, where leopard prints and bold solid colours became synonymous with the tireless energy of anti-establishment rebellion.

The second capsule drops a month later on the 6th of March and is inspired by the Warped Tour era, bringing back that Y2K spirit with checkerboard patterns and flame prints, reminiscent of a time when Blink-182 soundtracked summer afternoons spent at the local skatepark. The third and final drop pays homage to underground hip-hop, with vibrant colourways and gum soles—available on Vans.co.uk and in Vans stores from the 10th of April.

The campaign also taps in to a new generation genre-defining musicians, including Little Simz and HiTech, who embody the “Off The Wall” mindset that Vans has championed for decades. These artists, much like the Old Skool itself, are pushing boundaries and reshaping cultural narratives.

The Premium Old Skool Music Collection is more than a product drop; it’s a testament to the enduring power of self-expression and the unbreakable bond between music and style. Whether you’re a die-hard Vans fan or a newcomer to the brand, this collection serves as a reminder that some icons just simply never go out of style—they just keep evolving. And frankly, we’re here for it.
