WITCH POST RELEASE THEIR FOLLOW ON SINGLE 'RUST'

Witch Post, the creative union of Alaska Reid and Dylan Fraser, continues to captivate with their latest single, Rust. Following their debut track, Chill Out, Rust deepens their sound, blending poignant emotion with the raw intensity of grunge.

The duo’s musical twinship reflects their contrasting yet complementary influences - Alaska’s dark indie atmospherics meet Dylan’s twisted take on pop. Rust is a soaring, aching duet. Gentle, swooning guitars lead into a cathartic chorus that’s tender yet destructive, drawing from the spirit of 90s grunge. Speaking on the track, Alaska explains:

“Rust is about taking a chance on someone. Dylan and I met under strange circumstances. Both of us carry plenty of baggage, but we couldn’t help but write together. The song reflects heartache and the glimmer of change, inspired by All Shook Down by The Replacements.”

The pair’s backstory adds another layer of intrigue. Alaska and Dylan, coincidentally from towns sharing the same name in Montana and Scotland, joined forces after unexpected paths led them to collaborate. Their sound is the collision of Montana’s vast, rugged landscapes and the wolfish energy of Scottish rock. It’s band music stripped to its essence - two minds unlocking something raw and untamed.

Witch Post’s debut single, Chill Out, introduced their edge, invoking the venomous energy of Hole and Pixies. With Rust, they reveal a deeper, more vulnerable side. This growing duality cements their identity as a band that can be tender and cutting in equal measure.

You can experience Witch Post live as they bring their evocative sound to The George Tavern in London on 18th December. Tickets are now available.
