Yakul, the trailblazing future soul quartet, have just released 'Think We Do,' the final single from their eagerly awaited second album, 'Gravity Pulls You Home,' due out on August 2nd. The single is a testament to the band's refined sound and profound creativity, following a period of introspection and renewal.

Their sophomore album, 'Gravity Pulls You Home,' serves as a beacon of the healing power of music and creativity. After navigating through a challenging phase, Yakul retreated to a secluded writing sanctuary, where they rediscovered the essence that initially united them. Reflecting back on the time spent in their writing sanctuary, the band said;

"We cultivated a safe space where no idea was wrong and every suggestion was valid and had its place,"

'Think We Do' is a standout track characterised by an irresistible piano hook and smooth vocals. Vocalist James Berkeley recalls,

“I remember playing that repeated piano chord in the verse, then Sam started playing a beat. Instantly we knew we were onto something!”

The track is enriched with a deep bass groove and velvety vocals, exemplifying Yakul's signature future soul style. The band explains the inspiration behind the song:

“It’s testament to trusting your intuition in the face of the universe. In a world of life-hacks and time management, it’s easy to fall into the trap of always trying to think your way out of a problem. Sometimes doing less is the solution, even if it means going against the grain. This is one of two songs on the record that we didn’t write in the countryside. We were in our old studio in Brighton just after returning from our first writing retreat, and evidently, we were still in the same headspace, because this song came out super quickly.”
